Great blog entry and pictures guys!!!

So true that we are all spoiled by the Mexican Riviera beaches and clear blue waters, but it is fun to explore other places.

No doubt you had the vacation you needed...a break from the everyday routine! Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves!

So it is freezing cold here today and all I can think about is my toes in the warm sand and bobbing in the water...we will see you soon!!

And by the way, if you get time to check out our site (www.SkeeterzRumBar.com), we would be interested in your opinion and constructive criticism as you guys have a very good understanding of what people want and look for...if not, no big deal, still owe ya a few drinks or three!

WOW, my wife and I are opening up a Rum Bar on St. Lucia and your take on the Margaritaville (over commercialization) is EXACTLY what we have been saying...thanks for the story!
Steve

Good for you two! Keep in touch and we may just drop by for a drink some time!

Great to see some photos to go along with your descriptions to us of your trip. Can't tell you how happy I am you were able to save all the work that went into this entry on your hard-drive, Phew! Thanks too for helping remind us that when we travel, we need to take a look at ALL things from 360 degrees, and the dichotomy of which you describe. When is the book coming out again...?

Oh, gotta love the "Tony's Hut" on the barracuda. ;-)
Great Photo!
Looking good Cheri!

Wow, for awhile there I felt like I was right there with you two! Never been to Jamaica, but have experienced similar atmosphere in the Dominican Republic.

What really, really hit home with me was your description of how spending $10 on a bracelet in Mexico can really make a difference in the vendor's life...I'm going to keep that in mind on our upcoming trip to Playa in March. (Although I've never been shy about spending some dollars while on vacation!)

Thanks for the great writing and experience you conveyed!

Cheri and Tony,
As usual, loved reading your blog entry.
Your description of Jamaica and its people is right on the money.
I was lucky enough to go to the Pelican Bar while on a trip to Treasure Beach on the southwest coast of the island. There is nothing like it. You can't help but love that place.
Look forward to seeing you in March.

I am sitting here in my pj's, coffee in hand and I can't think of a better way to start my day. It is snowing to beat the band here, however, in my mind's eye, you have transported me to Negril. Wow...what a nice report T&C. I love how you describe the sites, the smells etc... I think I i've been hit with the "contact high" even. No problem, mon.

Have a great day! And, thank you for taking the time to report on your much needed vacation. Glad you had a great time!
